Things that make me human

Things that make me human

In my recent morning walks I’ve started stuffing pen and paper in my pockets to jot down thoughts. It began as a need to write lists, as walking stimulates my brain like no other. I was surprised to find words flowing out of my being like lava… parts of my subconscious that have become conscious… waiting for the right moment to present themselves.

A vision from afar

space

breadth

endless

open

I walk towards the sea

STOP. No further.

What do you see?

What do you feel?

The view is close

different from here

not so open

still endless

stuck

suffocating

Step back

turn to see where I have come from…

space

breadth

endless

open

I walk towards the dunes

STOP. Before reaching

point of no return

I notice

pattern

different view

endpoint

journey?

Same feeling

at destination

equals

pattern

Like ping-pong

back & forth

I turn

Choosing different road

not to reach the view

just to walk

walking between patterns

to find the path

Where does it lead to?

Adventure

source

new path

the sacred.
